Lonely Road

Cars roll fast and
Growl as they pass
And shoot out steam
And smog.
They roar and shout
Just to drown out
Anyone else wanting
To breathe.
But lazily on the bike strolls by,
Pay no attention at all.
Rolling and tolling
Away at the road,
In simple, ongoing bliss.
Rolling and rolling
And gliding across
The pavement that
Tickles the tires.
And the cars speed by
And pay no attention at all.
